: Preparing for Certification—Adult Advanced Venipuncture and Injection Arm with IV arm Circulation
The Health Science team is preparing to offer a Certified Medical Assistant certification to students who are interested in healthcare. This certification includes both clerical and clinical skills. This piece of equipment will allow students to learn how to collect blood samples along with how to properly administer injections such as intramuscular, subcutaneous, etc. Clinical rotation sites are hard to secure and having the appropriate equipment is important so that students can get the practice required to successfully pass the certification exam. Currently, there are approximately 350 students enrolled in the health science courses/sequence. Over time all 350 students will be able to utilize this piece of equipment.
